Staying Safe and Vigilant!
In light of recent societal events and security incidents reported in the Taipei area, we would like to remind all international students to prioritize their personal safety and remain vigilant while navigating the city.
While local authorities have heightened security at major transportation hubs like MRT stations and railway terminals, we encourage you to follow these safety guidelines below.
- Stay Alert in Public Spaces: When using public transport or walking in crowded areas, please stay aware of your surroundings. Avoid being distracted by your phone or wearing noise-canceling headphones in high-traffic zones.
- Follow Official Information: Be cautious of online rumors or unverified news circulating on social media. For accurate updates, please refer to official government sources or university announcements.
- Report Suspicious Activity: If you witness any suspicious behavior or feel unsafe, immediately contact the police by dialing 110 or notify nearby station staff and security personnel.
- Travel in Groups: When possible, especially during late hours, try to travel with friends or classmates.
