The 2026 New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program at TMU is designed for individuals who are considering further studies and career development in the healthcare field while earning transferable academic credits.

Please note that the program is limited to 25 students only.

Therefore, applicants from top universities with strong academic performance, a good GPA, and clear motivation to study will be given priority.

Taipei Medical University welcomes outstanding students from New Southbound Policy countries to join a five-month study program in Taiwan from September 2026 to January 2027.

Eligible Countries: Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Who Should Apply: 
• Students from the eligible New Southbound Policy countries
• Students with backgrounds in biological sciences, healthcare, medicine, public health, or related fields
• Fourth-year university students are preferred
• Applicants with excellent academic performance and personal character are highly encouraged to apply

Benefits:

Fully covered program-related expenses, round-trip airfare, a monthly stipend of NT$8,000, Mandarin and academic courses, and cultural activities.
